The aim of the project was to find the Deflection and Stress attained in a Helical Spring under different loading conditions using different element types both 1 & 3-D elements.

Spring Design Software
Waveaxis automated the complete Spring Design Process for the largest spring manufacturer in India. The software involved building the spring model automatically based on a few parameters. Using this model the Finite Element (FE) model was generated, again automatically. This FE model was then analyzed using Nastran. The results of Nastran were automatically used to populate result files, graphs and manufacturing parameters.
The software was able to reduce the design cycle down from 6 days to approximately 2 days resulting in huge cost savings and quick turn around of RFQ's for the client.
